Smart Communities

Smart communities is an academic concept and interdisciplinary research field investigating the strategic application and integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), data analytics, and innovative governance models within urban and regional areas. It examines how these elements can be leveraged to enhance efficiency, sustainability, resilience, and quality of life by optimizing infrastructure, services, resource management, and citizen engagement to address complex societal challenges through data-driven decision-making and collaborative approaches.
