Single Scattering Theory

Single Scattering Theory is a theoretical framework in wave physics that models the interaction of acoustic waves with a scattering medium under the assumption that each incident wave undergoes only one scattering event before being detected, thereby neglecting multiple reflections and re-scattering among inhomogeneities.
