Signed Types

Signed Types is a data type classification that, as a genus, represents numeric data types capable of expressing both positive and negative values, and, by differentia, distinguishes itself through the allocation of a sign bit to explicitly encode the arithmetic sign of the value, in contrast to unsigned types which represent only non-negative values.
