Shoaling Effects

Shoaling Effects is the phenomenon in coastal wave dynamics where wave characteristics such as height and steepness undergo progressive transformation due to the reduction in water depth, distinguishing it from other wave modulation mechanisms by its dependence on bottom refraction and nonlinear wave–bottom interactions in shallow waters.
