Ship-bank Interaction

Ship-Bank Interaction is a hydrodynamic phenomenon in naval architecture and marine engineering whereby the proximity of a ship to a navigable bank induces asymmetric pressure distribution and flow alterations in the surrounding water, resulting in uncommanded yaw, sway, and surge forces that affect maneuverability in confined waterways.
