Ship Noise
Ship Noise is the acoustic emission produced by a ship, arising primarily from its machinery, propulsion system, and hydrodynamic interaction with the surrounding water, that propagates through the hull into both the airborne and underwater environments and is analyzed in naval architecture for its effects on structural integrity, habitability, stealth, and marine ecosystems.
