Ship Interaction

Ship Interaction is a hydrodynamic phenomenon in naval architecture and marine engineering wherein the maneuvering behavior of a vessel is altered due to proximity-induced forces and moments arising from its own image in shallow water or from nearby vessels, distinguished from other hydrodynamic effects by its dependence on near-field hydrodynamic coupling in restricted waters.
