Shelf Hydrodynamics

Shelf hydrodynamics is the field of study dedicated to investigating the physical dynamics of water masses and associated processes occurring over the continental shelf. It encompasses the analysis of currents, waves, turbulence, and their influence on the transport and distribution of heat, salt, sediment, and biological material within this significant coastal-ocean interface.
