Shareholder Equality Principle
The Shareholder Equality Principle is a regulatory doctrine in corporate law that requires all shareholders of the same class to be treated equally in the context of a takeover bid, particularly with regard to access to information, price offered, and opportunities to tender their shares, thereby ensuring fairness and non-discrimination in collective corporate actions.
