Shake-off Ionization

Shake-Off Ionization is a theoretical model of atomic ionization in which the ejection of a secondary electron occurs as a consequence of abrupt relaxation of the electronic structure following sudden removal of a primary electron, distinguishing it from direct ionization mechanisms by its reliance on post-ionization electron correlation dynamics.
