Semantic Code Analysis is a static application security testing technique that belongs to the class of code analysis methods which examine the syntactic structure and data flow of software, distinguished by its incorporation of contextual program semantics—such as intent, behavior, and runtime state modeling—to identify vulnerabilities that cannot be detected through syntactic patterns alone.
