Self-piercing Riveting
Self-Piercing Riveting is a mechanical joining process in which a semi-tubular rivet pierces through the upper sheet materials and flareingly expands into the lower sheet without exiting, forming an interlock under applied pressure, distinguishing it from other solid-state joining methods by its partial penetration and mechanical interlock formation.
