Self-centering Systems

Self-Centering Systems is a structural design approach in timber seismic engineering that belongs to the class of seismic-resistant systems and is distinguished by its ability to automatically recenter a building after an earthquake through the use of specialized energy-dissipating components and post-tensioning mechanisms, thereby minimizing residual displacements.
