Second-order Factor Analysis

Second-Order Factor Analysis is a statistical modeling technique within the broader class of factor analytic methods that posits a hierarchical structure in which first-order latent factors are themselves influenced by higher-order latent factors, thereby distinguishing it from standard factor analysis by accounting for commonalities among correlated first-order factors through a second level of latent dimensionality.
