Second-order Closure Models

Second-Order Closure Models is a class of turbulence closure models in fluid dynamics that belong to the broader category of Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) models and are distinguished by their explicit prognostic treatment of the Reynolds stress tensor through transport equations for the second-order moments of velocity fluctuations.
