Scleral Lens Compression
Scleral Lens Compression is a biomechanical phenomenon in ocular physiology characterized by the localized deformation of the scleral tissue beneath the landing zone of a scleral lens due to sustained pressure exerted by the lens rigid structure, distinguishing it from other forms of corneal or conjunctival compression by its specific engagement with the sclera-lens interface.
