Scattering Buildup Factor

The Scattering Buildup Factor is a dimensionless correction factor used in radiation shielding and transport theory that accounts for the increase in radiation intensity at a given point due to scattered photons, distinguishing it from the uncollided flux by quantifying the contribution of all scattered radiation components relative to the primary radiation field.
