Saturation Height Function is a petrophysical model that describes the vertical distribution of fluid saturation within a reservoir rock as a function of height above the free water level, distinguishing itself from other saturation models by explicitly relating capillary pressure to fluid saturation changes due to pore-throat geometry and wettability.
