Satem-centum Split
The "Satem-Centum Split" is a phonological isogloss in historical linguistics that divides the early Indo-European languages into two branches based on their differing reflexes of the Proto-Indo-European palatal velar consonants, with the satem languages merging them with *s or *š and the centum languages merging them with *k.
