Safety Factor Profile

The Safety Factor Profile is a spatially resolved function in plasma physics that characterizes the tokamak magnetic field topology by quantifying the number of toroidal field line transits required to complete one poloidal transit as a function of radial position, thereby determining the stability and confinement properties of magnetically confined fusion plasmas.
