Saccular Function

Saccular Function is a physiological construct representing the vestibular system's capacity to detect linear acceleration and head tilt in the sagittal plane via the saccule's mechanotransduction of inertial forces, specifically distinguished from other otolithic functions by its primary sensitivity to vertical motion and its role in mediating vestibular evoked myogenic potentials.
