S-unit Equations

S-Unit Equations is a Diophantine equation of the form \( x + y = 1 \) where \( x \) and \( y \) are restricted to lie in the multiplicative group of S-units of a number field, distinguished from other Diophantine equations by the constraint that solutions are required to be composed of units at a prescribed finite set of primes S.
