Rotating Ring Electrodes

A Rotating Ring Electrode is a specialized electrochemical working electrode system comprising a central disk electrode surrounded by a concentric ring electrode, both embedded in an insulating sheath and mounted on a rotating shaft, that enables the continuous hydrodynamic flow of electrolyte to control mass transport and facilitate the detection of electrochemically generated intermediates at the ring following their production at the disk.
