Root-mediated Soil Acidification

Root-Mediated Soil Acidification is a plant physiological process in rhizosphere ecology wherein roots actively alter rhizosphere pH through the selective excretion of protons, organic acids, or secondary metabolites, thereby inducing localized soil acidification that influences nutrient availability, microbial dynamics, and plant-soil interactions.
