Root-mediated Nutrient Acquisition

Root-Mediated Nutrient Acquisition is a plant physiological process in which roots actively enhance the availability and uptake of soil nutrients through the release of exudates, modification of rhizosphere chemistry, and interactions with symbiotic microorganisms, thereby distinguishing it from passive or diffusion-limited nutrient acquisition mechanisms.
