Risk-based Maintenance Scheduling

Risk-Based Maintenance Scheduling is a maintenance scheduling methodology that prioritizes maintenance activities based on the assessment of risk, wherein risk is a function of the probability of failure and the consequences of failure, thereby distinguishing it from time-based or condition-based scheduling approaches by explicitly incorporating risk as the primary decision criterion.
