Ring-closing Metathesis

Ring-Closing Metathesis is a catalytic organic reaction in which ring formation occurs through the intramolecular rearrangement of alkene moieties via metal-carbene-mediated bond reorganization, distinguished from other metathesis reactions by its cyclization mechanism that generates cyclic olefins with high selectivity and functional group tolerance.
