Rietveld Refinement

Rietveld Refinement is a computational method in powder diffraction analysis that belongs to the class of structure determination techniques, distinguished by its use of a least-squares refinement procedure to fit an entire calculated X-ray diffraction pattern, derived from a structural model, to the observed experimental data for multiphase crystalline materials.
