Reverberation Mapping

Reverberation Mapping is a time-domain observational technique in astrophysics that measures the response delay between variations in the continuum emission from an active galactic nucleus and the subsequent re-emission from surrounding broad-line region gas, thereby enabling the mapping of the spatial structure and kinematics of the emitting regions through light-travel time arguments.
