Reticular Lamina

The Reticular Lamina is a specialized apical surface structure of the organ of Corti that serves as a rigid, barrier-like mesh formed by the tight junctions among the stereocilia-bearing apices of hair cells and supporting cells, maintaining ionic segregation between endolymph and perilymph while providing structural integrity to the sensory epithelium.
