Residual Dose Estimation is a methodological framework in optically stimulated luminescence dosimetry that quantifies the portion of absorbed radiation dose remaining in a mineral sample after partial bleaching or incomplete signal resetting, distinguishing it from total dose estimation by specifically accounting for pre-existing or unerased luminescence signals.
