Remarriage Transitions

Remarriage Transitions is a theoretical construct within family developmental theory that specifies the dynamic process through which individuals and blended family systems adapt to new relational, structural, and functional roles following the legal remarriage of one or both partners, distinguishing it from initial marriage transitions by the complexity of integrating prior familial commitments, loyalties, and step-relationships into a new household system.
