Regional Redistribution
Regional Redistribution is a function of fiscal policy in a federal or multilevel government system that reallocates public resources across subnational territories, mainly through the design of taxes and intergovernmental transfers, with the specific aim of reducing structural disparities in per capita income or fiscal capacity between regions rather than inequalities among individuals or across time.
