Redevelopment Displacement is a form of urban displacement wherein existing residents, businesses, or communities are involuntarily relocated due to state-sanctioned or market-driven redevelopment projects that reconfigure built environments for higher-income uses, thereby distinguishing it from displacement caused by organic market shifts or natural disasters.
