Recurrence Plot is a visual analytical tool in nonlinear time series analysis that represents the recurrence of states in a phase space by mapping the times at which a dynamical system revisits similar neighborhoods, thereby distinguishing itself from other visualization techniques through its focus on state recurrence over temporal evolution.
