Recrystallization In Steels

Recrystallization in Steels is a solid-state phase transformation process, belonging to the class of microstructural evolution mechanisms in metallurgy, in which new strain-free grains nucleate and grow at the expense of deformed grains during annealing, thereby restoring ductility and reducing dislocation density after plastic deformation.
