Reaction Bonding is a ceramic processing technique in which a porous preform reacts with a gaseous or liquid phase to form a bonded structure through in situ chemical reaction, distinguishing it from other bonding methods by the formation of the bond via chemical transformation rather than external application of binders or heat alone.
