Rare-earth Compounds

Rare-Earth Compounds is a class of intermetallic materials consisting predominantly of rare-earth elements chemically bonded with one or more other elements, distinguished by their localized 4f electronic states that give rise to strong electron correlations, magnetic anisotropy, and exotic quantum phenomena such as heavy-fermion behavior, unconventional superconductivity, and Kondo lattice effects.
