Ramjet Propulsion

Ramjet Propulsion is an air‑breathing jet propulsion system in which thrust is generated by compressing incoming atmospheric air solely through the vehicle’s forward motion, burning fuel in (typically) subsonic flow at nearly constant pressure, and accelerating the combustion products through a nozzle, without the use of rotating compressors or turbines.
