Quasi-steady-state Approximation
Quasi-Steady-State Approximation is a kinetic modeling assumption in chemical reaction kinetics where the rate of change of a reactive intermediate is assumed to be negligible compared to those of reactants and products, distinguishing it from the standard steady-state approximation by explicitly accounting for a brief initial transient phase before quasi-equilibrium is established.
