Quasi-equilibrium Approximation

Quasi-Equilibrium Approximation is a theoretical framework in chemical kinetics that belongs to the class of steady-state approximations, distinguished by its assumption that certain elementary steps in a reaction mechanism rapidly establish a near-equilibrium condition, allowing the forward and reverse rates of those steps to be treated as approximately balanced while the overall reaction progresses slowly toward completion.
