Pyroclastic Density Current Mobility
Pyroclastic Density Current Mobility is a geophysical process descriptor that quantifies the capacity of a pyroclastic density current to travel laterally over topography due to its intrinsic flow properties, including particle concentration, temperature, and turbulence, which collectively reduce basal friction and enhance runout distance beyond that predicted by topography alone.
