Pump Slip
Pump Slip is a quantitative measure in positive displacement pump theory that denotes the volume of fluid which fails to be transferred due to internal leakage between the rotor and stator over a pumping cycle, distinguishing it from ideal displacement by accounting for clearances, fluid compressibility, and viscosity effects inherent in progressing cavity pump operation.
