Pull-through Failure

Pull-Through Failure is a mode of mechanical failure in bolted or connected structural joints wherein a fastener or connector penetrates or pulls through the material due to insufficient bearing or tear-out resistance, distinguished from other joint failure mechanisms by the localized material deformation or fracture around the fastener hole without complete rupture of the connected member.
