Prosodic Rhythm

Prosodic Rhythm is a metrical framework in Old English metrics that identifies the underlying rhythmic structure of verse through the distribution and recurrence of stressed syllables, distinguished from other prosodic systems by its reliance on the interplay between linguistic stress and the poem's structural units such as half-lines and caesura.
