Prophetic Authority

Prophetic Authority is a scholarly construct in literary and religious studies that designates the epistemic and performative legitimacy attributed to a figure or text to convey divinely inspired revelations within a ritualized socio-symbolic framework, distinguished from other forms of textual or charismatic authority by its foundational reliance on sacred mandate and future-oriented discourse.
