Production Postponement

Production Postponement is a postponement strategy in supply chain management where the final configuration or customization of a product is delayed until after receipt of a customer order, thereby distinguishing it from other production strategies by its deliberate deferral of product differentiation to enhance demand responsiveness and reduce forecast error.
