Prelithiation

Prelithiation is a pre-cycling electrochemical process in which lithium ions are introduced into an anode material prior to full cell assembly, thereby compensating for initial capacity loss due to solid electrolyte interphase formation and improving Coulombic efficiency in lithium-ion or lithium-metal battery systems.
