Preferential Flow Modeling

Preferential Flow Modeling is a distributed hydrologic modeling approach that explicitly represents the non-uniform, localized pathways of water movement through soils and porous media, distinguishing itself from conventional models by accounting for rapid flow through macropores, fractures, or other high-conductivity features that bypass the soil matrix.
