Prediction Interval Estimation is a statistical inference method that quantifies the uncertainty associated with future individual observations by providing a range of values within which a new observation is expected to fall with a specified probability, distinguishing it from other interval estimation techniques by focusing on predictive accuracy rather than parameter estimation.
